Hilux Blast Fast LED Cordless Curing Light

The Blast family of curing lights offered by First Medica take advantage of third generation, high power, LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes). Third generation light sources offer high light output, longer operating life and greater electrical and thermal efficiencies. These lights have a peak output very near the Camphoroquinone (CQ) absorption maximum for high efficiency. Nearly all light cured composite, cements and sealants are CQ based. A very few materials require ultraviolet light and are not cured with the Blast LED lights. LED light sources are designed to last the life of the unit and never need to be replaced.
Pistol lights: LED Blast & LED Blast Plus- These lights are the workhorses of the industry. They are designed to be very tough and robust. These lights use massive aluminum heat sinks to absorb heat from prolonged use without requiring a battery draining fan. Many practitioners have found the pistol shape is optimal for all day use and alleviates the symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome or other repetitive motion strains.

Blast-Lite

Wand LED Lights

Wand shaped lights such as the Blast-Lite and mini-blast are smaller and lighter than then LED blast. Many assistants find this style light ideal for quick procedures and the light weight is less burdensome for prolonged use. The Blast-Lite is actually more powerful than the LED Blast, the Mini-Blast is a bit less powerful but is a great value for the money.
